CLTC, UC Davis, is collaborating with other stakeholders to launch the statewide Lighting Retrofit Information, Training and Education program (Light-RITE California). The program will provide public building facility managers with the knowledge and tools they need to get the best possible results from lighting upgrades. The program focuses on the top 10 lighting retrofit strategies that have been proven to reliably capture the most savings. It will include instruction on conducting lighting audits, completing measurement and verification, and minimizing maintenance costs.

California is embarking on some of the boldest building retrofit programs in the country to achieve its pioneering climate goals set by the state’s legislature and voters. The Light-RITE California program will ensure that this large-scale investment maximizes energy savings and facility improvements.

Program supporters and advisors include: California utilities, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), the California Energy Commission, the University of California Office of the President, UC Davis, CLTC, the California State University and California Community College systems, and public facility staff.
