CLTC is working with Sacramento Municipal Utility District and Hussmann to evaluate Hussmann's latest LED freezer case lighting products. Evaluation includes light output and uniformity of light of product in field applications.

CLTC researchers are engaged in an ongoing effort to explore the applications of LED lighting systems in freezer and refrigeration cases. Because of the unique characteristics of these applications (cool ambient operation, need for low profile and highly directional lighting systems, maintenance issues, etc.), LED systems have great near-term promise.
