Hybrid Smart Wall Switch

CLTC researchers developed an occupancy based light switch for bathroom applications with WattStopper, intended to create significant energy savings.

The traditional manual on/off light switch has an integrated nightlight and occupancy sensor. The 1-Watt LED operates continuously serving as a nightlight while the occupancy sensor turns off the lights after a one-hour vacancy period. Field studies showed 50% energy savings.
