Technical Resources - New |
The CLTC facility includes full-scale lighting, daylighting and comprehensive photometric testing laboratories, emerging technology demonstration areas, and a classroom with full audio/video conference capabilities. The laboratories are used for research projects and technical services. Demonstration areas are used to showcase innovative lighting and daylighting technologies. And the CLTC classroom hosts numerous professional and educational courses, training seminars, and meetings. CLTC researchers and engineers utilize the facility's many technical resources to gather and analyze data. Affiliate members have access to these services and resources. To learn more about technical resources available at CLTC, read below, or contact us. |

| - Goniophotometer
Measures large sources and fixtures for candlepower distribution, lumen output, fixture efficacy, and source efficacy.
| | | - Mini-Goniophotometer
Measures small sources and arrays for candlepower distribution, lumen output, fixture efficacy, and source efficacy. Can also be used to measure angular response of photosensors.
| | | | | | - Thermal Data Acquisition
Monitors temperature over time of critical luminaire components with computer monitored thermocouples.
| | | | | | - Spectrophotometer
Measures spectral power distribution, color temperature (CCT), color rendering (CRI), and chromaticity.
| | | - Ray-Tracing Simulation Tools
Accurately simulates fixtures and source models using CAD-based platforms for design, distribution, optimization, and efficacy.
| | | - Lighting Simulation and Rendering
CAD-based lighting simulation and rendering programs are used to develop and review multiple lighting designs for exterior and complex interior applications.
| | | - Energy Monitoring
Field evaluations and photometric analysis equipment allows CLTC to monitor energy use in various real world applications.
| | | - Fabrication Shop
Plasma cutting table, welding equipment, saws, and lathe are a few of the resources available for fabricating prototypes in-house.
