HIDEKI KAWATA
Industrial Designer
Hideki Kawata came to the University of California, Davis in 2004 to pursue a degree in Industrial Design and product development. His work is strongly influenced by the work of Noguchi Isamu, where natural form is combined with modern and contemporary aesthetics. By utilizing the latest in lighting technology and advanced computer aided design, he works with the CLTC team and affiliates to research, develop and fabricate unique and innovative lighting systems for tomorrows demanding domestic and international markets.
