The Lighting Portal

The Lighting Portal is your online resource for current lighting research activities and information. It is funded by the Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program of the California Energy Commission and developed by the California Lighting Technology Center of UC Davis.

The Lighting Portal will include current activities, research, design, codes, issues and challenges, as well as new technologies in the lighting and daylighting industry. The site is not limited to these topics. It will evolve and expand through current research and contributions from its members. It will also include many links to a large variety of resources to help connect the wealth of knowledge available online in the form of a Lighting Portal.

The site is intended to publicize and archive current issues and projects related to the lighting industry, primarily in California, eventually nation-wide. We hope that you find the information on The Lighting Portal site useful.
