The UC/CSU PIER Demonstration Project promotes emerging energy efficient technologies while assessing their performance and user satisfaction. For instance, there are bi-level stairwell fixtures at UCLA and advanced classroom lighting systems at Sonoma State University. UC Davis will retrofit a whole dormitory with smart bathroom fixtures, while CSU Pomona has cutting-edge low glare wall packs at its equestrian center. So far we are finding significant energy savings and getting rave reviews from our campus facilities partners. The California Public Utilities Commission UC-CSU Partnership Program for 2006-2008 is leveraging the success of this demonstration project to help promote its huge incentives program to every UC and CSU campus. | | | | | | Bi-level stairwell fixtures demo at facilities UCLA Facilities Management & Cogen Building | | Advanced ICLS installed at Sonoma State University | | CFL downlights demo at UC Davis, Meyer Hall |
