The Lighting Portal will evolve and expand through contributions from its members. The site supports dialogue on a variety of lighting issues, raises awareness of important research programs, and helps advance lighting discussions industry-wide.

The current sections of The Lighting Portal Site include:

• Lighting Forum: Discussion boards to post questions, exchange ideas and increase awareness and advertising for current lighting research and technologies
• Manufacturer's Spotlight: Free advertising for the newest energy-efficient lighting technologies
• iSource: Repository of links to connect to the many available online resources in one primary location
• Events: Calendar of all lighting related events, including tradeshows, classes/seminars, workshops, forums, symposiums

The Lighting Portal is funded by the Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program of the California Energy Commission and developed by the California Lighting Technology Center of UC Davis.
