This course covers the latest  Title 24, Part 6 code requirements for office lighting. Attendees will gain a firm understanding of the new state standards now in effect, and they will be able to ensure lighting in new and remodeled commercial offices is in compliance. The course will also provide an overview of current lighting technologies available to help meet or exceed code requirements.

The Residential Lighting Design Guide outlines best practices in lighting design to help builders comply with California's 2008 Title 24 energy code requirements. 

Topics include:

Title 24: Retail Lighting

This Retail Lighting course is offered through PG&E’s Energy Training Center and taught by an industry professional from CLTC. The class covers current Title 24 requirements for retail lighting, the compliance process, 2013 code updates, and efficiency measures’ impacts on the retail industry. It also offers cost-effective energy-saving measures for both new construction and retrofit projects. Attendees will receive hands-on exposure to new lighting technologies, and they will learn implementation strategies to comply with the code.

California's new residential Building Energy Efficiency Standards take effect on January 1, 2017.

Over 25,000 lighting professionals attended this year’s LIGHTFAIR International 2016. CLTC partnered with the California Energy Commission and Energy Code Ace for this year’s event to provide attendees with information and resources on California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards and the Appliance Efficiency Regulations. CLTC’s Nicole Graeber, Daniel Wong of the California Energy Commission, and Kelly Cunningham from PG&E and the Energy Code Ace team presented on California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards and the Appliance Efficiency Regulations.
