LD+A Research Matters: Progress Report on Mexico's New R&D Center

In the fall of 2017, the Mexican Ministry of Energy awarded funding to the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in collaboration with the University of California Davis to establish a lighting technology and design research center known as the Centro de Tecnología en Iluminación (CTI).

Since then, the project team has made steady progress bringing the original concept to life. The Research article in the August 2021 issue of LD+A updates readers on the first two years of this multi-year project, which focused on establishing CTI as a third-party proving ground for emerging lighting technologies.
