CLTC has expanded its lab testing capabilities to accommodate its growing number of technology testing programs and projects. These include xenon lamp testing, screw-base LED replacement lamp tests and directional LED lamp testing.
Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) partnered with CLTC on the laboratory program assessing directional LED lamps. An assortment of MR16, PAR20, PAR30, and PAR38 lamps will be tested for lumen maintenance, color maintenance and lamp life, with results compared to manufacturers' claims. Test results on these lamps, commonly used in retail applications, will be provided to PG&E in support of incentive programs and other resources for retail customers in the utility's service territory.
