The California Lighting Technology Center at the University of California, Davis is excited to announce a generous $100,000 contribution from Seoul Semiconductor to bolster ongoing research efforts and open new avenues for advancing human-centric lighting.

As CLTC's newest affiliate member, Seoul Semiconductor is dedicated to supporting a wide range of research activities at the CLTC. This collaboration is poised to drive innovation aimed at redefining the way we experience lighting, specifically focused on exploring the potential benefits of superior color rendition quality in full spectrum LEDs. It will also evaluate its impacts on meeting industry standards, where the ultimate goal is to create lighting solutions that offer not only energy efficiency but also exceptional color quality. In addition, Seoul Semiconductor is supporting CLTC's research focused on the impact of discrete color in hospital applications as part of The Color Lab project.

"We are grateful to Seoul Semiconductor for their generous support," said Jae Yong Suk, Associate Director at the CLTC. "This partnership opens up exciting possibilities for us to explore the relationship between full spectrum LEDs and human-centric lighting, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the lighting industry."

This collaboration represents a significant step forward in advancing the quality and efficiency of lighting solutions, ultimately benefiting both consumers and the environment. The CLTC and Seoul Semiconductor are excited to embark on this research together.
