The University of California, Davis and Korea Photonics Technology Institute (KOPTI) announced a newly formed global partnership, following the signing of an Agreement of Cooperation (AOC).
Under this agreement, the two leading research institutions intend to advance lighting and controls technologies and accelerate its market adoption. This collaboration also allows researchers between these two institutions to engage with unique perspectives from other lighting scientists, who are informed by differing economic, regulatory, and cultural contexts, and to exchange critical insights that will improve lighting technologies for society at large.
“Through this partnership, UC Davis and KOPTI can focus on innovation in lighting and other human-centric technologies with a heavy aim towards decarbonization, grid resilience, and community wellbeing on an international level” said Jae Yong Suk, Faculty Co-Director at the California Lighting Technology Center.
