CLTC collaborated with the Emerging Technologies group at the Pacific Gas & Electric Company to evaluate linear LED lamps in a variety of fixture applications as well as identify any interoperability issues.
The goal of this project was to evaluate linear light-emitting diode (LED) lamps intended to replace equivalent linear fluorescent systems when operating under real-world conditions expected of commercial retrofits and in fixtures other than recessed troffers. Project objectives include evaluation and documentation of product performance as compared to a standard linear fluorescent baseline in terms of photometrics, energy use, and cross-compatibility of products within linear LED lamp type categories A and C.
