Adaptive Lighting for Indoor Applications (A hallway with ceiling lights)

Philips Lighting University
Presented by Konstantinos Papamichael, Ph.D.

In today’s world, people spend much of their time indoors. Be it at home or at work, out shopping or in a restaurant – the light that surrounds us affects our mood and every aspect of our daily experience. In interior spaces, the lighting has to be flexible and highly customizable to accommodate for changes in the time of day, the seasons and on-site activities.

Factoring in such variables, while achieving significant energy savings is a challenge that is more than met by a new generation of networked and adaptive lighting control systems. The cutting-edge technologies developed by Philips offer improved control and optimum flexibility, as well as visual comfort, well-being and energy efficiency.

In residential and commercial applications, different strategies and technologies offer benefits like managing candle-power and spectral-power distributions in response to occupancy and the availability of natural light. In this webinar, case studies of technology demonstrations will highlight the latest developments and the many opportunities they present.
